About Us

Play to Win.  Strive to Give Back.

The Phoenix Gay Flag Football League  is the premiere flag football league for the LGBTQ+ community of Arizona. Founded in 2005, we are a recreational football league welcoming all skill levels and are committed to providing a comfortable and competitive setting for all those who want to play flag football and foster community. Since our humble beginning, we have grown from just a hand full of players to nearly 130 participants and running two seasons annually.

We strive to give back to our community and we have evolved into more than just a recreational flag football league.  Since 2018, we have been a 501(c)3 organization and through volunteer efforts, monetary donations, and strategic partnerships, the PGFFL strives to gives back to our community.

Mission

The mission of the Phoenix Gay Flag Football League, Inc. is to provide members of the Phoenix LGBTQ+ and Allied Community a safe place to experience personal growth while pursuing their athletic aspirations in a healthy environment, free from harassment and ridicule.

The PGFFL strives to use its fundraisers, events, and the sport of flag football to break down stereotypes, eliminate prejudice and discrimination, and to educate the public about the LGBTQ+ community.
